<image:caption>Endovenous ablation with radiofrequency is a minimally invasive treatment for chronic venous insufficiency. It is thermal energy to seal the veins. Compared to laser ablation, radiofrequency ablation is typically associated with a lower amount of discomfort and bruising after the procedure.</image:caption>

<image:caption>If you are experiencing severe symptoms, conservative treatment such as compression stocking are unlikely to be helpful. Sclerotherapy involves the injection оf a medicine called a sclerosant іnto a veіn. The sclerosant irritates the walls of the vein which causes them to stick together and seal the vein closed. It is a very safe and simple procedure that can be performed in our office, it is a effective method of eliminating spider veins.</image:caption>

<image:title>Radiofrequency Ablation - How is Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) treatment Performed?</image:title>
<image:caption>For radiofrequency ablation of varicose veins, your physician will use an ultrasound to insert a thin device called a catheter into your vein. The small catheter delivers heat to the vein wall causing it to shrink and the vein to seal closed. Once the diseased vein is closed, the blood reroutes to other healthy veins.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Sclerotherapy - What happens during sclerotherapy?</image:title>
<image:caption>During sclerotherapy, you lay down on your back on a treatment table with your legs slightly elevated. The doctor then inserts a very fine needle filled with solution into the treated vein. At this point, you may experience mild discomfort and cramping for one to two minutes, especially when larger veins are injected. This solution causes the lining of the vein to swell shut and block the flow of blood, then causing it to close and disappear from view. The closed vein is naturally absorbed back into the surrounding tissue.</image:caption>
